News from Saturn

Although this blog is primarily dedicated to NASA’s Mars Phoenix Lander, I wanted to bring this exciting update on Saturn from JPL News. NASA’s Cassini orbiter is undertaking two close fly-by’s of one of Saturn’s most intriguing moons, Enceladus. Cassini will fly over Enceladus’ geyser spewing south pole, and also take pictures of fracture formations named ‘tiger stripes’.

  1. No more Enceladus until November of next year. Wow, we have a long time to wait. However, I’d like to see more about some of the other moons.
